Large Midcentury Woodland Tray
Large Midcentury Woodland Tray
I find a lot of small teak and wooden midcentury leaf trays during my vintage hunts, but never anything this large, heavy, and thick (and with such a gorgeous wood tone). This is a statement piece all on it’s own, and I have never found another like it. I have photographed it for scale on a kitchen shelf with regular kitchen items, but this little guy belongs somewhere special where he is noticed every day! Keep him on the counter with fruits or veggies, on the coffee table with matches and knick-knacks, or as your dining room centerpiece.
He is also, of course, an amazing serving tray for dry snacks like nuts, popcorn, chips, etc. If you’d like to use him for dip as well, just put the dip in a smaller glass dipping bowl in the center and surround it with snacks or veggies! The small glass bowl will protect the wood from soaking in any dairy or vinegar, and keep your new piece in beautiful condition.
I love the warmth and texture wood items bring to a space, but the leaf shape with this piece just goes above and beyond to incorporate nature and give your room a cozy hug!
